Stately Second Empire Victorian, built 1882. Located at HISTORIC LYME VILLAGE State Route 113 near Route 4, east of Bellevue, Ohio. "Preserving Yesterday for Tomorrow"
The Historic Lyme Village was started by a group of individuals dedicated to "Preserving Yesterday for Tomorrow" and is located in Lyme Township, Ohio. This group originally met at the Lyme Congregation United Church of Christ adjacent to the village. The Lyme Church's Sunday School is the oldest continuous organization in Ohio.
The John Wright Mansion, built in 1882, was acquired in 1977 and is the corner stone of the village. The village is operated by a nonprofit organization strictly on a volunteer basis. Through dedicated work the village has acquired many buildings that would have otherwise been lost or destroyed, each containing artifacts from a bygone era.
We look forward to your visit to the Historic Lyme Village in Ohio.
